My mission, as always, is to use creativity as a bridge for connection, encouragement, and hope. 

Drawing from my experience as an artist, educator, and founder of www.cakecrush.com, I believe that creativity has the power to build confidence, foster healing, and bring people together across cultures and languages. My goal is not simply to teach artistic skills, but to connect compassion and curiosity—learning from them as much as I hope to teach.

I am committed to serving with collaboration and respect; celebrating the beauty of Guatemalan culture while encouraging young artists to see themselves as creative, capable, and deeply loved. Through art, storytelling, and meaningful relationships, I hope to contribute to Athentikos’ vision of creating spaces where creativity leads to healing, community, and hope.

About I AM ART Opal House 2026: Creative Impact Guatemala

I am excited to share that I have been asked to join Athentikos in their art mission this summer! I will be traveling to Guatemala with Athentikos to teach an art camp for children at Opal House School.

By teaching art camp this summer at Opal House School in Guatemala, I seek to create a safe and joyful space where children can explore their unique gifts, express their stories, and discover their value and identity.

I believe creativity is a powerful tool for connection, confidence-building, and personal growth, and I am excited to share that passion with students through hands-on art experiences that encourage imagination, self-expression, and joy. As an artist, educator, and founder of www.cakecrush.com, I have spent nearly three decades teaching art and creative thinking in international schools, community organizations, and creative workshops across six countries.

My goal is not only to teach artistic skills, but to create a welcoming environment where children feel seen, valued, and empowered to explore their unique gifts.
